Convention Guide

All NATA 2018 registrants have the option to receive a Convention Guide. This printed guide contains general information, a programming overview, a full schedule of the educational content and a list of exhibitors. You’ll also find maps for the convention center, AT Expo and relevant hotels.

The abstracts and learning objectives for educational events are detailed in the event descriptions within the NATA 2018 app. You can sort through the abstracts by date or by track, or you can search by keyword.

Pre-Conference Career Development Workshops

Held annually the day prior to first official day of convention educational programming, the NATA Committee on Practice Advancement and Ossur host the Pre-Conference Career Day Workshops. The all-day workshops traditionally feature lectures in the morning and hands-on learning in the afternoon. These workshops require advanced registration and attendees can earn additional CEUs.

Free Communications Program

One of the top attractions for the NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo is the Free Communications program (more casually known as Free Comm), a program sponsored by the NATA Research & Education Foundation that gives athletic trainers a forum for distributing new research and clinical case studies. To date, the program has provided almost 5,000 poster and oral presentations.

Distinguished Scholar Presentations

Exchange lecturers from other sports medicine associations will speak about their research. The NATA Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Athletic Training Research, New Investigator Award and Doctoral Dissertation Award and Free Communications Student Award winners will also be formally recognized at this two-hour session.
