ATs Care/ICISF Group Crisis Intervention

Precourse work is required in advance of the in-person event

Designed to present the core elements of a comprehensive, systematic and multi-component crisis intervention curriculum, the group crisis intervention course will prepare participants to understand a range of crisis intervention services. Fundamentals of critical incident stress management will be outlined, and participants will leave with the knowledge and tools to provide several types of group crisis interventions, specifically demobilizations, defusings and critical incident stress debriefing. The need for appropriate follow-up services and referrals when necessary will also be discussed. Completion and receipt of a certification indicating full attendance (14 contact hours; 14 Category D CEUs) qualifies as a class in International Critical Incident Stress Foundation’s certificate of specialized training program. Registration limited to 50 attendees.

Mandatory online content (approximately five hours) must be completed prior to the in-person workshop. A link to the online materials will be provided to registrants via email. To allow time for this pre-work to be sent and completed, registration for this course will close May 31. 

Cost: $350 for members, $550 for nonmembers (early bird rates)

First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Training

7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 21

Completion of this course certifies attendees to teach CPR, AED, first aid and lay responder training. Attendees will have the opportunity to bridge into CPR for professional rescuer upon completion. Recertification of CPR for professional rescuer will be conducted at the beginning of the course. 

A mandatory online course (approximately three to four hours) must be completed prior to the in-person workshop. A link to the online course will be provided to registrants by the instructor. Registrants will need to bring their certificate of completion with them to show the instructor. To allow time for this pre-work to be sent and completed, registration for this course will close May 31.
