The NATA Foundation 5K Fueled by Gatorade

The NATA Foundation 5K Fueled by Gatorade and benefiting the NATA Research & Education Foundation is back at convention, at 6:30 AM  Friday, June 26, 2015. The race will be run along the St. Louis Riverfront Trail. Shuttle service will be available from the convention center at the 7th Street plaza entrance from 5:30am – 6:30am. Return shuttle service will be available from 7:15am – 8:30am. Maps and further information will be available in the race packets, pick up at registration.   Register online for $25!

 

NATA Foundation Block Party

The NATA Foundation Block Party is returning to Laclede’s Landing this year. The event will take place on June 23, starting at 8:00pm. Purchase a party pass for $20 and receive admission to the party in which an outdoor concert will be taking place. The party pass will also get you great discounts on food and beverage throughout the week while in St. Louis. This is a great way to support the NATA Foundation as well as catch up with friends and colleagues in a casual setting. Don’t miss out on the fun. Get your party pass when you register for the NATA Convention.

Stop by the NATA Foundation’s Silent Auction booth in the NATA Connect section of the AT Expo to browse and bid on an array of items – including sports memorabilia, educational materials, hotel packages and much, much more! All proceeds benefit the NATA Research & Education Foundation.

Pinky Newell Student Leadership Breakfast

Join the NATA Foundation at this convention networking event recognizing our 2015 scholarship recipients, Athletic Training Student Challenge winners,  the students chosen for top honors in the Deloss Brubaker Student Writing Contest and the NATA Bobby Gunn Student Leadership Award recipients. This is truly a special event for the future leaders of our profession. The event will take place on Friday, June 26, at 8:00 am. The event is free, so reserve your ticket early as this event will fill up fast.

 

Free Communications Program

The Free Communication Program provides a forum for researchers and clinicians to disseminate research and clinical case studies. More than 275 abstracts are selected annually for oral, thematic and poster presentations.

Free Communication poster presentations will be displayed throughout the week in a special section of the AT Expo. Attendees can view the posters anytime during AT Expo hours. Don’t forget to stop by again (time/date TBD) when authors will be on hand to meet attendees and answer questions about their important work.

Distinguished Scholar Presentations

Exchange lecturers from the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine will speak about their research. The NATA Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Athletic Training Research, New Investigator Award and Doctoral Dissertation Award and Free Communications Student Award winners will also be formally recognized at this two-hour session.
